FCHS Board To Meet

The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will meet Monday night at 6:00 p.m. in the FCHS Study Hall.
The evening will open with a budget hearing to allow for public comment on the Fiscal Year 2026 budget before the regular meeting begins.
On the agenda for the regular session are approval of minutes from the August 21st meeting, financial reports, and payment of bills. Reports will also be given by the principal and superintendent. Superintendent updates will cover the district’s revenue-to-expense report, CD rates, College and Career Fair planning, homecoming activities, the sale of an old bus, an insurance analysis, a speaker series, and a district magazine project.
Old business includes a motion to approve the FY26 budget and a report on strategic planning.
New business items include votes on the Securly online/hall safety system, the FY26 salary and compensation report, acceptance of an Acellus grant and purchase of its curriculum, a matching school maintenance grant, and the purchase of a new 71-passenger Saf-T-Liner bus through a five-year lease.
The board will also enter closed session to discuss personnel matters before returning to open session.
