The Clay County Health Department has released its fall schedule for drive-thru flu shot clinics, giving residents multiple opportunities to get vaccinated without leaving their vehicles.
Drive-Thru Clinics will be held at the Clay County Health Department on the following dates:
September 24th
October 1st
October 8th
October 15th
October 22nd
October 29th
All clinics run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents should follow signs to the carport. No appointment is required. Due to construction at 12th and Olive, those attending should approach from North Main Street. Participants should bring their Medicare Part B card, HMO card, Medicaid card, or insurance card. A small administration fee may apply for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or have out-of-network insurance.

Xenia Community Center: October 1st, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Heritage Woods: October 7th, 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.
Louisville Farm Bureau: October 14th, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Clay City Bank: October 15th, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Ingraham Bank: October 15th, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
The Health Department will offer both trivalent and higher-dose influenza vaccines. Officials stress that annual flu shots remain an important step in protecting individuals, families, and communities from seasonal flu strains.
