More than 3,300 pounds of Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold under Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand have been recalled due to potential listeria contamination. Western United Fish Co. issued the recall after its green onion supplier reported a positive listeria test result on September 17.
The recalled product was packaged in clear plastic clamshell containers labeled with the Kirkland Signature brand. Affected packages have a pack date of September 18 and a sell-by date of September 22. No illnesses have been reported at this time.
Western United Fish Co. is working closely with its green onion supplier to identify the source of the contamination. Consumers who purchased the product are urged not to consume it and to return it to Costco for a full refund.
