Fitness enthusiasts in Fairfield will soon have a new place to work out, as Larry and Kenzey Tucker prepare to open CrossFit Rax next month on the city’s east side. The new gym, located at 109 S.E. Third Street behind Parrent Electric, is nearing completion and is expected to welcome members in early October.
To celebrate the opening, an open house is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, from noon until 5 p.m. Community members are invited to tour the facility, meet the owners, and learn more about the gym’s offerings.
CrossFit Rax is named in honor of Kenzey’s grandfather, Donald Stanley, who operated the well-known Rax Restaurant on Fairfield’s west side for many years. The Tuckers say the name pays tribute to a family legacy of service and community involvement.
