An event called, Crazy Ball is set for Sunday, October 5th at Leo French Park. The day will kick off at 1:00 p.m., featuring grade school teams from New Hope Boys and Jasper Girls & Boys squaring off in a game unlike any other. The proceeds from the event will go toward the Feeding Kids of Wayne County program.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to don their wildest outfits, wigs, and hats, setting the stage for a playful and spirited afternoon. Adding a unique twist to the game, a soft bouncy ball will be used, and special rules will keep everyone on their toes—such as running bases in reverse and swapping places for home runs. Crowd participation is not only allowed but encouraged, with opportunities for fans to step in and play or run bases during each inning.
Beyond the game itself, the event promises plenty of additional features. Raffle items will be available, with proceeds supporting the teams. Attendees can also try their hand at the Home Run Derby, where five swings cost just $5.00 and prizes are up for grabs.
Organizers will have raffle tickets for themed baskets and other prizes, and a concession stand will offer food and drinks throughout the day. In a fun twist, a prize will be awarded for the craziest outfit, so participants are urged to get creative with their attire.
