Illinois State Police, Wayne City Fire Department and ambulance personnel responded to a crash Saturday morning involving a motorhome on Interstate 64. The incident occurred at approximately 10:13 a.m. at milepost 93 when an eastbound motorhome crossed through the westbound lanes and rolled into the north ditch. Minor injuries were reported, though no one was transported from the scene by ambulance.

Traffic was only briefly affected as crews worked to recover the vehicle. A heavy-duty rotator tow truck from Mt. Vernon was called in to remove the motorhome.

Wayne City Fire Chief Scott Clark said it appeared the driver, who was from out of state, lost control after a steer tire blew, causing the motorhome to leave the roadway and come to rest in brush along the westbound side.
