Pinckneyville Police are investigating the drowning death of a 35-year-old Bluford man, whose body was recovered from Pinckneyville City Lake on Saturday.
Authorities say a dive team located Jedidiah Loman in 13 feet of water. Police reported that Loman drowned after entering the lake to retrieve a boat that had drifted away from the boat ramp. He went under while swimming into open water toward the vessel.
An autopsy is pending as the investigation continues.
