The City of Albion and Sunrise Sanitation have announced a Fall City Wide Clean Up event to take place on Thursday, October 9th. This annual service is available exclusively to Albion residents living within city limits and offers an opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items.
Residents are reminded to place all eligible items neatly at the curb no later than the evening before the scheduled clean up. Items must be sorted according to the guidelines provided by the city.
Items NOT accepted at the clean up include:
Yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, brush, tree material, landscaping items)
Rock, concrete, or construction materials (including roofing, demolition materials, siding, and lumber)
Household garbage
Metal or wood fencing (including swing sets and patio furniture)
Automobile, lawn mower, or tractor parts
Tires or car batteries
Paints, chemicals, or hazardous materials
Large or excessive clean outs (including abandoned rental properties)
All small items must be bagged for pickup. Sunrise Sanitation requests residents to keep these guidelines in mind to ensure an efficient and safe clean up for everyone.
