Published reports say people are being advised to destroy a toy distributed across the nation due to lead contamination issues.
According to the Consumer Products Safety Commission, In Motion Design is recalling over 98,000 units of its “Evermore Surprise Eggs” made in China as the toy airplanes contained within the eggs pose a threat to children. The report said the toys were sold at various outlets nationwide, including Speedway, Murphy and 7-Eleven stores from March through April of this year. So far, no injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with the recall.
Consumers are being urged to stop using the toys and contact In Motion Design for a refund.
