The Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church, located north and west of Cisne, will hold its Annual Homecoming Services tomorrow (Sunday, October 12th). The event is a celebration of the church’s history and God’s continued faithfulness to the congregation.
Festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a performance by the “Victory Voices,” a Southern Gospel quartet from the Mt. Vernon area. The group, which includes Berdella McGrew of Flora, is known for its mission to glorify God and inspire listeners through music.
The 10:30 a.m. worship service will feature special music by local church musicians. Former pastor Cliff Donoho will deliver the morning message. Donoho, who served Blue Point in the early 1980s, currently pastors Hope Church in Ashboro, North Carolina. He and his wife, Cathy, have two children: Chad Donoho, who also serves in ministry in North Carolina, and Janice Texada, who works in Northport, Alabama.
Following the worship service, a potluck meal will be served at noon in the church gymnasium. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish and enjoy fellowship with the congregation.
The public is invited to attend all services. Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church is located at 1147 County Road 1975N, Cisne. For more information or to schedule a ride on the church van, contact Pastor Ernie Lewis at 618-838-6708.
