The Edwards County School Board met in a special session Tuesday night to review bids for a proposed vocational building. The new facility is planned for the west side of the current K-12 campus and will incorporate the existing auto mechanics/weight room building.
A total of seven contractors submitted bids for the project. The apparent low bid came from Akra Builders Inc., based in Teutopolis, Illinois, at $4,000,168.29. The total projected expense for the project is estimated at $4,613,930.00.
