A two-vehicle crash at a Wayne County intersection sent seven individuals person to area hospitals on Saturday, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:47pm at the intersection of County Highways 13 and 16 at Orchardville. Authorities say 28-year-old Kaitlyn J. Bradley of Georgetown, KY was northbound on County Highway 13 in a 2020 Toyota Highlander when she struck a 2015 Chrysler van driven by 38-year-old Christal Lewis of Cisne. Lewis was traveling westbound on County Highway 16 when Bradley failed to yield at a stop sign, entering the intersection and pulling into the path of the Lewis vehicle.
Lewis was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon and Bradley was transported by EMS personnel to Clay County Hospital in Flora. Three passengers in the Bradley vehicle were also transported to Clay County Hospital in Flora. Two passengers in the Lewis vehicle were transported to Good Sam in Mt. Vernon.
The sheriff’s department cited Kaitlyn Bradley for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
