The Mules and Lady Mules Cross Country Teams were in action on Tuesday at Dolan Lake for the Roger Lee Invitational. The Mules Boys runners finished 1st overall out of 8 teams, with Ashton King-5th, Jarret Vaughan-6th, Kanyen Lingafelter-8th, Skylar Bladel-9th, Treyton Lewis-10th and Vance Vanway-15th all earning trophies. The Mules other runner Morgan Spina finished 31st. The Lady Mules runners also finished 1st overall with Emeri Sager-5th, Adi Hickey-7th, Jaycie Couch-8th, Brianna Meeks-9th, and Ellanie Vanway-11th all earning trophies. Other runners were Gabby Zurliene-16th, Addy Spencer-22nd and Jillion Olivier-Wilkerson-27th.
HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:
It was announced on Tuesday that the Wayne City High School Boys Basketball Team has a chance to play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the home of the Indiana Pacers on January 31, 2026. The game will take place following the Indiana Pacers vs. the Atlanta Hawks game.
In order to raise funds for their trip, the Wayne City Boys Basketball players will be participating in a Shoot-A-Thon this Saturday morning. They are looking for sponsors to pledge money for every shot that they make out of 100 free throw attempts and 100 3-point attempts. If you would like to donate or pledge money, contact Coach Jake Talbert, Coach Chad Dickey, or Coach Jesse Harrison.

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Blues will be inducting three former players into their 2026 Hall of Fame class. The team revealed yesterday that Alexander Steen, Al Arbour, and Barret Jackman will all be inducted into the Blues Hall. Steen played with St. Louis from 2009 until 2020, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in the 2018-19 season. Arbour spent four seasons as a Blue defenseman in the late 1960s, while Jackman has played in the most games as a blue-liner in franchise history. The trio will be inducted in a ceremony on January 12th.

The 25-year-old is one of three players to record 500 three-pointers, 150 blocks and 150 steals over the past three seasons. Guyton was ESPN’s top-ranked outside linebacker and fifth-ranked overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. The Georgia native initially committed to Texas Tech in early August over other finalists Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. He will join five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo and four-star wide receiver Chase Campbell among the top-ranked members of the program’s incoming class.
