Birth to Five has awarded an extra $2.5 million to Early Childhood Collaborations across the state of Illinois. The funding intends to help improve systems for young children and their families in 35 regions of Illinois. The award, consisting of 43 subcontracts for fiscal year 2026, is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education.
The list includes funding for Region 20 of the Southern Illinois Coalition for Children and Families, which serves Hamilton, White, Saline, Gallatin, Hardin and Pope counties. Also included in the list of Birth to Five Illinois FY2026 Subcontractors is the Clay County 0-5 Advisory Board in the amount of $36,000 and the Southern Illinois Coalition for Children and Families in the amount of $75,000.
