FAIRFIELD GRADE SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETS

In a recent meeting of the Fairfield Grade School District Board of Education,, Superintendent, Kristina Gardner reported the district has received 9% of its revenue and spent 14% of its FY26 budget, with the Food Service fund showing a healthy balance of $253,990.

Recent bus maintenance totaled several thousand dollars, including inspections, tire replacements, and routine repairs.

Gardner said the FY25 salary report will soon be posted on the district website, and bids will be sought for the district’s commercial insurance. The FY26 School Improvement Plan was reviewed, and curriculum updates noted that the district continues using Eureka Math Squared, McGraw Hill Wonders, Savvas Elevate Science, and McGraw Hill social studies programs, with a math review planned for FY27.

In personnel matters, the board accepted the resignations of Kayla Murphy (paraprofessional) and Kim Williams (bus driver) and hired Marissa Rottinghaus as paraprofessional and Amanda Hicks as bus driver.
