Wayne County Treasurer, Yvette Anderson has announced her intention to seek reelection on the Republican ballot in the upcoming March 17, 2026 primary election.
“I have enjoyed my time serving as your County Treasurer and I am looking forward to serving you for another four years,” Anderson said.
During her current term, Anderson noted several improvements within the Treasurer’s Office, including the implementation of credit and debit card payments in person and by phone, continuation of online payment services, and initiation of a new investment plan that increased county investments. She also implemented safeguards to prevent fraud and misuse of funds and introduced new financial software to provide more detailed and timely financial reports to the county board.
Anderson said she is currently working to make tax bills available online through a county website and to add an additional local payment option at a banking facility.
“My dedication to Wayne County and my commitment to financial responsibility remain strong,” she said. “I am confident that my experience and continued vision will be beneficial for our county’s financial health. I humbly ask for your continued support and your vote in the primary election.”
