Wayne County election officials have released the list of candidates who filed for the 2026 March Primary Election.
On the Republican ballot, candidates for county offices include:
Sheriff: Christopher Otey, JB Fletcher
States Attorney (2-year unexpired term): Kyle A. Ellis
Treasurer: Yvette Anderson, Celeste Garrett
County Clerk: Billie-Jo “BJ” Townsend, Janet Billington
Coroner (2-year unexpired term): Shari Winter, James “Ryan” Best, Tommy A. “Tom” Windland
Supervisor of Assessments: Amy L. Sager
County Board candidates by district:
District 1: Chad Edmison
District 2: None
District 3: Eddie Barbre
District 4: Cody Ehrhart
District 5: Liz Ann Woodrow
District 6: None
District 7: Gene Kollak
Precinct Committeepersons include:
Barnhill – Liz Ann Woodrow
Bedford – Marvin Cole
Fairfield 2 – Billie-Jo Townsend (Republican), Cassie Fuller (Democrat)

The March primary will determine which candidates advance to the general election later in 2026.
