Two guilty pleas were entered in Wayne County Circuit Court on Thursday before Judge Matt Vaughn.

Harley Gibson, 19, of Fairfield, pled guilty to burglary and was sentenced to 24 months of probation. Gibson was also ordered to pay court costs, complete 30 hours of public service work, and received a 180-day jail sentence that will be imposed only if the terms of probation are violated. As part of the plea agreement, two additional cases were dismissed.

In a separate case, Joanna Lane, 43, of Springerton, pled guilty to forgery stemming from an incident on July 31st. She was placed in the Offender Initiative Program for 12 months, a special plea arrangement similar to probation. If Lane successfully completes the program, the charge will be dismissed from her record. She was also ordered to pay court costs and restitution to the victim.
