Reports out of Franklin County say a Christopher, IL man faces up to 60 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after being found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and predatory criminal sexual assault of a child following a four-day trial.
45 year old Jeromy Bocook was found guilty after a jury of 12 citizens deliberated for about 60 minutes, media reports said. The investigation followed a forensic interview with the child conducted by the Franklin Williamson-County Child Advocacy Center. Bocook was indicted by a Grand Jury in 2018 but the trial faced several delays due to motions by Bocook, with the trial not beginning until earlier this month. Bocook faces a sentence of between six and 60 years.
