COLD SNAP BRINGS FRIGID TEMPERATURES TO REGION BEFORE MIDWEEK WARM-UP

By Mark Wells Nov 10, 2025 | 6:05 AM

The National Weather Service in Paducah says a sharp blast of cold air is settling into the region, bringing some of the coldest temperatures of the season so far. Overnight lows tonight are expected to drop into the low 20s, with wind chills dipping into the teens. Daytime highs today will struggle to reach the 40-degree mark, roughly 20 degrees below normal for early November.

Forecasters say a few flurries or light snow showers could develop, mainly north and east of the area, as upper-level energy moves through.

The cold stretch won’t last long, however. By midweek, high pressure will build in, ushering in a steady warm-up. Temperatures are expected to rebound into the 60s by Thursday, and by the weekend, highs could climb back into the 70s — a major turnaround from the current chill.
