During a recent pre-trial hearing, a trial date of next Tuesday, November 18th has been confirmed for former Fairfield High School tennis coach, 38-year-old Joshua R. Rockett, who faces multiple sex offense charges. Rockett remains free under GPS monitoring and strict conditions, including a court order prohibiting contact with anyone under 18, including his own children unless supervised by his wife.
Rockett is charged with three offenses: aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor under 18 (Class 1 felony), aggravated criminal sexual abuse by someone more than five years older than the alleged victim (Class 2 felony), and criminal sexual abuse (Class 4 felony).
During a detention hearing in April, prosecutors presented a photo allegedly showing Rockett with a 15-year-old female victim. Rockett had previously coached girls’ softball and tennis.
