The Clothesline in Fairfield is once again partnering with the Midwest Food Bank to help local families in need this holiday season. The annual Christmas Food Basket Giveaway will take place on Saturday, December 13th from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Midwest Food Bank building, located just south of the Fairfield Police Station.
Monetary donations are being accepted to support the event and can be dropped off at The Clothesline or mailed to P.O. Box 15, Fairfield, IL. Checks should be made payable to The Clothesline.
Organizers say last year’s effort made a big impact, with 400 food baskets distributed to area families. They hope to meet or exceed that number this year through the community’s continued generosity.
