Loren Earl Witter,80, of Mason, Illinois

80 year old Mason, Illinois resident, Loren Earl Witter, passed away November 21, 2025, at a care facility in Monticello, Illinois.

Loren was born November 24, 1944, in Wayne County, Illinois. He was one of three triplets born to George and Alberta Witter. He graduated from Fairfield High School then enlisted in the Air Force in 1965. While enlisted he worked as an Air Force Policeman in Panama and North Dakota then received honorable discharge as a Sergeant. Then, he worked in his chosen career field of printing until retirement. Thereafter, he enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and serving on the Mason Civic Center board. His hobbies included outdoor, auto, and construction projects. He was a member for many years at Calvary Baptist Church in Effingham, Illinois, and then Mason Christian Church in Mason, Illinois.

He was proceeded in death by his triplet brothers Leo (Donna) and Leon and other siblings Lowell, Robert, and Ronald Witter.

Loren is survived by his children, Geoffrey Witter and Lise Skye and his sisters, Doris (Dennis) Cropper, Dorotha Thackrey, Shirley Edgington, and Ladonna Calton and his brothers, Harold (Anita) Witter, and Donald (Virginia) Witter and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Loren Earl Witter will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois, with funeral services at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors performed by the Anthony Wayne Post 176, American Legion and Wayne Post 4535, VFW. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Habitat for Humanity and will be accepted at the funeral home.
