The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board of Education met Wednesday evening at Cisne Middle School, approving a series of consent agenda items and taking action on staffing and upcoming district planning.
On the consent agenda, the board approved the minutes of the October 15th regular meeting, personal leave and dock day requests, FMLA requests for two employees, switching the district credit card from American Express to Capital One beginning January 2026, and an overnight trip for four Cisne High School students to attend the BUILD Conference in Bloomington/Normal on November 24–25.
Also approved were the November bills and a tentative 2025 tax levy set at 4.99%. The board authorized Superintendent Ellis to advertise open positions for the 2026–2027 school year as needed.
Following Executive Session, the board hired Avery Smith as a classroom aide at Johnsonville Elementary for January through May 2026. Members also approved entering into an agreement with BLDD to conduct a district organization study at a cost not to exceed $34,999.
