The Illinois Soybean Association has announced its 2025 Achievement Award recipients, including the prestigious Farm Family of the Year honor, which was awarded to Doug Winter and his family of White County.
The Farm Family of the Year Award recognizes an Illinois farm family actively engaged in ISA programs, committed to industry advancement, and making a positive impact in their communities. Winter farms primarily in White County, producing several varieties of soybeans, corn, and occasionally winter wheat, while also serving as a Pioneer seed dealer. He has a long record of leadership through service on the Illinois Soybean Board, United Soybean Board, U.S. Soybean Export Council, Center for Food Integrity Board and U.S. Farm and Ranch Alliance Board.
His wife, Nancy Winter, a Certified Public Accountant with her own practice, plays a vital role in the family’s farming operation.
“ISA is proud to honor these hardworking individuals who are leading our industry into a better future through their leadership, excellence, commitment and service,” said ISA CEO John Lumpe. “We thank them for all of their contributions that benefit farmers and the Illinois agriculture industry as a whole.”
Five additional ISA Achievement Award winners, along with the Winter family, will be formally recognized at a later date.
