>>NFL Week 12 Recap

(Undated) — The San Francisco 49ers capped off Week 12 of the NFL season with a 20-9 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football. Christian McCaffrey finished with 142 all-purpose yards and a rushing touchdown to lead the San Fran offense. Ji’Ayir Brown had a pair of interceptions as the Niners improved to 8-and-4. Bryce Young passed for 169 yards, one TD and two picks as the Panthers slipped to 6-and-6. Week 13 will kickoff with a trio of Thanksgiving Day matchups. The Detroit Lions will host the Green Bay Packers, the Dallas Cowboys entertain the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Cincinnati Bengals pay a visit to the Baltimore Ravens.

>>Commanders QB Daniels To Practice

(Ashburn, VA) — The Commanders will get their signal caller back on the field. Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels is set to practice this week, coach Dan Quinn said. Daniels dislocated his non-throwing elbow earlier this month and has not been cleared for contact. Quinn called Daniels a long-shot to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Daniels has missed five games so far this season due to multiple different injuries.

>>Browns Sticking With Shedeur Sanders As Starter

(Cleveland, OH) — The Browns are sticking with their polarizing rookie quarterback. Head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media on Monday that Shedeur Sanders will continue to start under center despite Dillon Gabriel clearing concussion protocol. Sanders helped lead Cleveland to a win over the Raiders in his first-career start last Sunday. He was taken in the fifth round of April’s draft while Gabriel was snagged in the third.

>>Report: Baker Mayfield Has Shoulder Sprain

(Tampa, FL) — The Buccaneers got some decent news on the health of their star quarterback. ESPN reports Baker Mayfield underwent an MRI on Monday which revealed a low-grade sprain in his left shoulder. No additional damage was found. Mayfield got pulled from Tampa’s blowout loss to the Rams on Sunday Night Football after suffering the injury. His status for this Sunday’s game against the Cardinals is uncertain.

>>Saints Holding Troubled K Justin Tucker For Tryout

(Metairie, LA) — The Saints are bringing in a controversial player for a tryout this week. New Orleans is set to host free agent kicker Justin Tucker for a tryout on Tuesday. The seven-time Pro Bowler was suspended for the first 10 weeks of the season because of violations of the NFL’s personal conduct policy. This is his first tryout since his suspension ended earlier this month. Tucker was released by the Baltimore Ravens after he was investigated by the NFL for sexual misconduct. He will be joined by fellow kicker Cade York during the tryout after Blake Grupe missed a pair of field goals in the team’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12.

>>Raiders Name Greg Olsen As Interim OC

(Henderson, NV) — The Raiders have decided on who will be their new offensive play caller following the firing of Chip Kelly. Las Vegas coach Pete Carroll announced that quarterbacks coach Greg Olson will be the team’s interim offensive coordinator for the remainder of the season. Olson was previously the Raiders’ OC from 2013-to-2014, then again from 2018-to-2021. The 62-year-old also was formerly the offensive coordinator for the Rams, Lions and Buccaneers. ESPN reports that senior offensive assistant Bob Bicknell is also out after Kelly was fired immediately following the team’s loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. The Raiders have lost five straight and are last in the AFC West at 2-and-9.

>>CFP Poll Preview

(Undated) — The latest College Football Playoff poll of the regular season will be released on Tuesday. The top 14 teams in last week’s rankings all won over the weekend, meaning there will likely be little shakeup at the top of the poll. Ohio State is currently first followed by Indiana, Texas A&M and Georgia. Twelve teams will make the CFP this season, including the top six conference champions.

>>Georgia Football Dismisses Player After Wild Police Chase

(Athens, GA) — Georgia football is moving on from one of its players following a wild police chase. The school released Nyier Daniels on Monday. Authorities say the redshirt offensive lineman was caught driving more than 150-miles-per-hour in an attempt to flee police. ESPN reports Daniels faces several felonies, which include “cruelty to children” charges for having his two younger siblings in the car with him.

>>Cardinals Bring Back Pozo

(St. Louis, MO) — Yohel Pozo is back with the St. Louis Cardinals. The team signed their back-up catcher to a one-year deal yesterday. Pozo was originally non-tendered by St. Louis over the weekend. The 28-year-old appeared in 67 games with the Cardinals last season. He hit .231 with five home runs and 19 RBI’s.

>>Rockies Retain Warren Schaeffer As Manager

(Denver, CO) — The Rockies have announced who their new full-time manager will be for the 2026 season. Colorado has named Warren Schaeffer as the team’s manager after he took over in an interim role this past season. The 40-year-old was promoted from third-base coach to manager after Bud Black and bench coach Mike Redmond were fired in May. He now becomes the eighth full-time manager in club history. The Rockies finished the 2025 season with 119 losses, which was the most in the National League since the 1962 New York Mets had 120. They finished 50 games behind the NL West champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
