The Village of Cisne is inviting families to kick off the holiday season with its annual Small Town Christmas celebration, set for Friday, December 5th from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Festivities will take place throughout the community, with many activities centered at the Firehouse. Children can sign up for a chance to win a theme basket, enjoy free pork chops and hot dogs while supplies last, take horse-drawn wagon and barrel rides, write letters to Santa, and participate in face painting, coloring, and craft projects. Seasonal treats including hot chocolate, cotton candy, popcorn, and cake walk prizes will also be available.
Additional attractions include ice cream at The Ice Cream Shop, live animals at Growls & Meows Vet Clinic, and cookie decorating at Illinois Drone Solutions (the former lumber company). Children can also visit Santa at the Village Hall.
Organizers say every child will be able to take part in all activities free of charge, thanks to the support of local businesses and community volunteers.
