EDWARDS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET DECEMBER 1ST AT COURTHOUSE

Edwards County Clerk, Melanie Knight has announced that the Edwards County Commissioners will hold their next regular meeting on Monday, December 1st at the Edwards County Courthouse in Albion. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.

The agenda includes the approval of minutes from the previous meeting, followed by updates from Sheriff Darby Boewe, the County Health Office, County Treasurer, and County Highway Department. Commissioners will enter executive session to discuss personnel and finance matters, as well as receive an update on the County Highway Building.

Two resolutions are up for consideration: Resolution No. 12-1-25 (17), concerning the MFT County Engineer Salary, and Resolution No. 12-1-25 (18), regarding county maintenance materials. The board will also discuss the north entrances to the courthouse square on Elm Street and review the farmland lease for county-owned land for the 2026 crop year.

Additional items on the agenda include appointments and resignations for the Edwards County Fair Board, updates on the landfill, EMS matters, and a review of recent correspondence and discussions. The meeting will conclude with the approval and payment of claims presented, before recess or adjournment.
