The Phillipstown Christmas Tree Farm has cut the ribbon and reopened for the first time in nearly ten years.
Reports say the tree farm originally opened in 1982, and officially launched on Friday, and sold their first tree in several years. Raylee Cross has taken on the duties of running the operation, saying he decided about six years ago while in college to start the operation back up and began planting trees.
Data says currently about 17 percent of Americans buy real Christmas trees, but a 2025 survey showed that people are still interested in the nostalgia of having a real Christmas tree, with up to 32 percent planning to buy one.
The Phillipstown Christmas Tree Farm is open by appointment Mondays through Thursdays and open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. and 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They have a website at www.phillipstownchristmastreefarm.com and can also be found on Facebook. They can also be reached at (618) 966-3641.
