According to a social media announcement, Luke and Sarah Hilliard of Cisne have revealed plans to build a new meat market next to Cisne High School. The business, Cornerstone Meats of Cisne, will offer quality meats supplied by Berhmann’s and Dewig’s. The Hilliards say they feel called to bring a much-needed, high-quality food option to the community. Cornerstone Meats is expected to feature a full selection of meats, convenience items, a deli counter and more. The couple also plans to offer:
Affordable daily hot lunch specials for students, farmers and residents
Heat-and-eat meals with grab-and-go sides
Baked goods and snacks
Saturday cooking events with preorder options
Holiday cooking services and party bundles for events such as the Super Bowl
Select extended evening hours featuring hot, ready-to-take-home suppers
Additionally, the Hilliards say plans are underway for community philanthropy and ministry efforts as part of the business.
