Fairfield Elks Lodge #1631 will host its annual Hoop Shoot contest on Saturday, December 6th, at the FCHS Gym, with the event beginning at 10 a.m.
The Lodge has proudly organized this competition for many years, giving children ages 8-13 the opportunity to compete in a contest to see who can sink the most out of 25 free throws.
This year’s Hoop Shoot contest began with competitions at local schools. Winners from Saturday’s event will advance to the District level contest, scheduled for January 17th at Franklin Park Middle School in Salem, Illinois. District winners will then have the chance to compete at the state level, with further advancement to the regional contest and the 2026 National Finals, which will be held in April 2026.
Fairfield Lodge #1631 extends its gratitude to the schools, teachers, and coaches in the community for their support in organizing the school contests and encouraging student participation.
