NINE EARTHQUAKES RECORDED IN THREE-COUNTY AREA OVER SEVEN DAYS

A total of nine small earthquakes were recorded over a seven-day period in a three-county region spanning New Madrid County and Mississippi County in Missouri, as well as Lake County, Tennessee, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The seismic activity occurred between November 21 and November 27.

While most of the earthquakes were minor and caused little to no damage, a few were reportedly felt by residents in surrounding areas. The USGS continues to monitor seismic activity in the region.
