Fairfield FFA member Khloe Mollet has been selected as one of just 25 recipients of the prestigious Mike Builta FFA Jacket program.
The program—created by the GROWMARK Foundation in partnership with Illinois FFA and the Builta family—honors the legacy of longtime GROWMARK employee Mike Builta, who passed away unexpectedly in 2019. Each year, 25 Illinois FFA students are chosen to receive an FFA jacket, along with a scarf or tie, and a special memorial FFA/GROWMARK pin bearing Builta’s name.
To be considered, FFA members were asked to answer the question “What does the FFA jacket mean to you?” and to share their biggest goal as an FFA member. The Builta family personally reviewed all submissions before selecting this year’s recipients.
Mollet’s selection places her among a small group of students statewide recognized for their passion, dedication, and commitment to FFA values.
