The communities of Mt. Erie, Enterprise, and Cisne are coming together to present a “Journey to Bethlehem” drive-through experience at the Elm River “The Brown” Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Sunday, December 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The church is located on County Highway 2 (161 Extension), just 2 miles west of Mt. Erie or 8 miles east of Cisne.
Guests can enjoy this immersive event from the comfort of their vehicles. Upon arrival, visitors will be greeted by Roman soldiers, reminiscent of the welcome Joseph and Mary received when traveling to Bethlehem for the census. The journey continues through fields where shepherds tend their sheep, then winds through a bustling marketplace and past the crowded inn, culminating at the stable where Jesus Christ was born. Those attending are encouraged to keep their eyes and ears open for the singing of angels and the arrival of Wise Men bringing gifts to God’s Son.
After experiencing the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’s birth, everyone is invited to gather in fellowship for music and refreshments with friends, staff, and crew in the basement of “The Brown” church.
