PRAIRIE FARMS RECALLS HUNDREDS OF GALLONS OF MILK OVER CONTAMINATION CONCERNS

Prairie Farms Dairy has issued a recall for select Gallon Fat Free Milk produced at its Dubuque, Iowa, facility due to potential contamination with food-grade cleaning agents, according to an announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Consumption of the affected milk may cause illness.

Approximately 320 gallons of the recalled milk were distributed and sold at 18 Woodman’s grocery stores in Illinois and Wisconsin before the issue was identified. All affected products have been removed from store shelves.

Consumers who purchased the recalled milk are advised to dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For additional information, customers are encouraged to contact Prairie Farms Dairy or visit the FDA website.
