AREA SPORTS RESULTS FROM FRIDAY:

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:

On Friday night, the FCHS Mules Basketball team was on the road versus a tough Waltonville team. After a hard-fought game that saw the Mules get into early foul trouble, the Mules fell to the Spartans by a score of 62-48. The Mules were led in scoring by Jake Easton with 21 points and Owen Gruen and Breychan Kovacich with 9 points apiece. The Mules JV squad edged out a victory over Waltonville with a score of 47-43. The Mules Freshman team also got the win over the Spartans 56-49. The Mules will be back in action again on Tuesday for their home-opener at the Mule Barn versus the Flora Wolves.

COLLEGE TRACK AND FIELD:

On Friday, 2025 FCHS Graduate and current Blackburn College student athlete Hunter Kirk, broke Blackburn College’s Women’s Indoor Shot Put Record. Kirk broke the record on her first throw at the collegiate level and would go on to break the record two more times on the day.
