Nostalgia Theater is inviting the community to enjoy a magical evening of Olde English celebration at its annual Christmas Madrigal Feast this Saturday night at 6:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
This year’s festive production, “Queen’s Quest for a King,” will feature royal pageantry, a hearty holiday meal, and lively entertainment perfect for ushering in the Christmas season. Guests will dine while enjoying spirited performances by Three Birds Playhouse of Palestine, Illinois. The troupe will fill the theater with traditional Olde English Christmas music and medieval-themed storytelling, transforming the venue into a vibrant royal court. As part of the tradition, each attendee will select a royal name, which will be formally announced by the evening’s herald upon entry. The décor, menu, and entertainment will all reflect an authentic medieval theme, creating an immersive experience for guests of all ages.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children ages 5–13. All tickets must be purchased in advance through Eventbrite, Cuttin’ Up Salon, or from Stacey Earleywine or Beth Cooper. Nostalgia Theater, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding arts opportunities in Clay County, encourages the community to enjoy one of the season’s most anticipated events.
Organizers say, “This is truly one of the most wonderful Christmas events of the year. Families, friends, and groups of all kinds will find something to love.”
