A single-wide trailer at #2 Ash Street in Fairfield was destroyed by fire Wednesday night just before 9:30 p.m. Fairfield City Fire Department, Fairfield Rural Fire Department, Wayne County Ambulance, and Fairfield Police all responded to the scene where smoke and flames were visible upon their arrival. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
