The Illinois Eastern Community College Board of Trustees met Tuesday at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, where members certified the 2025 tax levy following a public hearing. The board held the tax rates for the district’s two primary funds—Education, and Operations & Maintenance—flat compared to 2024, with the overall rate projected to drop by about 4%.
Trustees also approved tuition rates for FY2027, which will take effect beginning Summer/Fall 2026.
In personnel matters, the board accepted the resignations of Dan Brant, O&M Team Lead at Olney Central College, effective January 9, and Chase Bramlet, English Literature Instructor at Wabash Valley College, effective December 18.
The next regular IECC Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson.
