The Enfield Village Board met on Tuesday evening to discuss ongoing projects and community matters.

Street lighting improvements are nearly complete, with only the final four poles left to install. Holiday decorations are now in place throughout the village. Work continues on securing an estimate for repairs to the community center. The board received deeds for two parcels of land, including one at 207 Sacramento Street, and efforts to obtain grant funding for the park are ongoing.

The Miller Street property remains open for bids, as no offers have been received to date.

Board members heard an update on current activities at the Community Center. The boilers are now operational, but some gym radiators require new belts. In police matters, the board approved the installation of a radar unit and radio in the department’s second vehicle, recently acquired from Mill Shoals. Utility operations are running smoothly, and the new employee is performing well.

Animal control reported two dogs were taken to the pound; one was claimed by Carmi, while the other was picked up by its owner.

The board also approved a $1,000 donation to the Angel Tree program, which provides gifts to children in need. The meeting concluded with a 26-minute executive session focused on personnel matters, with no action taken upon return to open session.
