The Fairfield Grade School Board of Education will hold its regular meeting tonight (Monday) in the Center Street School Boardroom. The session will begin with the call to order and roll call, followed by an opportunity for citizens to address the board on non-agenda items.
Board members will review and approve the regular and closed session minutes from the November 17th meeting. Financial reports on the agenda include the treasurer’s report, payroll, and monthly bills.
Superintendent’s reports will cover a range of topics, including a revenue to expense report, food service and transportation updates, the proposed FY26 tax levy, the second reading of PRESS Policy 120, student handbook revisions, and the FY25 audit. Action items include board decisions on adopting the FY26 tax levy and approving PRESS Policy 120.
Principals from Center Street School and North Side School will present updates on their respective buildings, followed by a period for board member requests and reports. A closed session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters, labor relations, collective negotiations, litigation, any public office vacancies, and student discipline. Topics in closed session will include staff appointments, retirements, dismissals, and student matters.
After returning to open session, the board will act on the resignation of paraprofessional staff if needed, before moving to informational items and adjournment.
