The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 17th at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at Cisne Middle School, with a full agenda that includes financial matters, staff changes, and updates on district planning. The meeting will open with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by roll call. Board members are expected to approve a consent agenda, which includes the minutes from the November meeting, personal leave and dock day requests, and FMLA leave for one employee. The board will also acknowledge the resignations of Jennifer Brooker as Bus Driver and Misty Ellis as Cisne Middle School Softball Coach.

Financial reports will be presented, including the approval of bill payments, the treasurer’s report, and an income and budget update for the district. The agenda also allows time for non-agenda items, such as communications, visitor comments, and a superintendent’s report on district happenings and upcoming events. In old business, the board will hear an update from BLDD, the firm conducting the district’s feasibility study. New business items include discussion and potential action on the 2025 tax levy, which will be payable in the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The board will also review executive session minutes from the past six months, consider making them public, and destroy audio tapes from January through June of 2024, except for those related to special board meetings. Additionally, the board will discuss the district’s FCC license and a possible buyout offer from T-Mobile.

No committee meetings or executive session are scheduled for this month, and no action is expected on executive session items.
