Judy Delores Hood 78, of McLeansboro, IL. passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at her residence in McLeansboro. Judy was born August 1, 1947 in Poseyville, Indiana, a daughter of Harley E. Hanes and Roberta (Fricker) Hanes.
Judy was a Baptist by faith and a retired hairdresser. She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her son John Biggerstaff and wife Erin, Carmel, Illinois, her grandchildren Brian, Brett and Kyle Biggerstaff. Also surviving are sisters Vera Oxford, Clarendon Hills, IL., Sue Weigle Woodridge, IL. and Phyllis Bradley, Naperville, IL. along with her brothers John Robertson, LaGrange, IL., and Steve Hanes, Dieterich, IL.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Greg Hanes and Kenny Hanes, sisters Brenda Thompson and Bonnie Peska and companion Sam Rubenacker.
Visitation for Judy Hood will be from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro with the funeral service at Noon. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, McLeansboro, IL with Pastor Mike Hodge officiating.
