Brenda Marie Gilbo, 74, of Fairfield passed away at 2:49PM on Sunday December 14, 2025, at her home. She was born in Houlton, Maine on March 9, 1951, to Lewis and Jeannette (Bard) Markey. Brenda worked at various factories throughout her life and loved poetry and cooking.
Brenda is survived by her daughters- Cheryl (John) Gilbo of Syracuse NY, Tina Gilbo of Cisne, and Jeni (Daniel) Chow of Fairfield; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers- Timothy (Karen) Markey of Florida and William Markey of Connecticut.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, sisters- Margaret Savoy, Delores Lamoureux, Joyce Markey, and Mary Elizabeth Markey, brothers- Lewis, Phillip, James, David, and Donald Markey.
Per Brenda’s wishes, her body will be cremated with no formal services held.
Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation.
