The Festival of Lights will have a special holiday event night on Saturday, December 20, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Leo French Park, offering families and community members a festive evening filled with seasonal cheer and classic Christmas experiences. The night is hosted by Fairfield National Bank.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will welcome visitors in Santa’s House, creating the perfect opportunity for photos and holiday memories. To keep guests warm, heaters will be provided by PIAP Oil Co. Adding to the fun, The Grinch will make a special appearance, delighting guests of all ages. Live holiday music will fill the park as The Hallam Trio performs Christmas carols throughout the evening. Each child will receive a gift bag from the Wayne County Family Enrichment Center.

A live nativity will be featured, presented by Elm River CP “The Brown” Church, with special thanks to Tanya and Mark Wells for their support. Guests will also have the chance to meet Luther the Donkey, generously provided by Dewain and Sheila Walker, bringing an authentic and memorable touch to the nativity scene. This special event night is part of the ongoing Festival of Lights celebration and is open to the public. Donations are welcome and help support the continuation of this beloved community tradition.
