Several cases were addressed Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court before Judge Matt Vaughn.

Twenty-nine-year-old Dakota Boatner of Mount Erie admitted to violating the terms of a previous 18-month court supervision order stemming from a DUI offense. Boatner was sentenced to two years of probation, ordered to pay court costs, and required to serve five consecutive weekends in the Wayne County Jail.

Nicole Boyd, 30, of Wayne City also admitted to violating the terms of her probation related to a November 2021 conviction for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. In another case, 23-year-old Zane Highwood of Carmi pled guilty to Resisting a Peace Officer. He was placed on one year of court supervision, ordered to pay court costs, and received credit for four days of time served in the Wayne County Jail. As part of a plea agreement, one additional count was dismissed.
