Margaret (Peggy) Kuykendall, 66, of Crossville

Margaret (Peggy) Kuykendall, 66, of Crossville, Illinois passed away December 18, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Hospice in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born to the late Lois (Rose) and Bill McClane on May 19, 1959, in Sterling, Colorado. She was a 1977 graduate of Mt Carmel High School. She married Rick Kuykendall on July 8, 1978, at the Pentecostal Assembly Church of God in Mt Carmel, Illinois. Together they shared 47 years of marriage.
Peggy enjoyed baking, cooking, quilting, and gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her dear friends. But most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a mother and a grandmother to many children throughout Crossville.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Rick Kuykendall: two daughters-in-law, Miranda Kuykendall and Holly Hacker; grandchildren, Ethan Mercer, Cooper Kuykendall, Maryjane Kuykendall, Madilyn Harris and Rosalyne Prince; a great-grandchild, Isaiah Mercer; her brother, Mike (Linda) McClane;  sisters-in-law,  Rebecca McClane and Kathy Hart; also several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was proceeded in death by her three sons, Joshua, Luke, and Skyler Kuykendall; a brother, Fred McClane; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Evelyn and Roy Kuykendall; a niece Kelly Clark; and great-nephew, Cody Clark.
A service celebrating Peggy’s life, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Crossville Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Fellows officiating. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at Citizens National Bank of Crossville to the Crossville Winterfest. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
