McLeansboro Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in locating 63-year-old Michael J. Mezo, who is wanted on a nationwide warrant.
Mezo faces multiple charges, including Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials, Home Invasion, Aggravated Battery of Senior Citizens, and Residential Burglary. Investigators identified Mezo as the suspect in a home invasion that occurred last Monday on Broadway Street in McLeansboro, where two senior citizens were attacked.
Mezo is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with gray or white hair and hazel eyes. He is often seen wearing glasses.
Police warn that Mezo should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or who may have seen Mezo is urged to contact McLeansboro Police or their local law enforcement agency immediately.
