Ford is recalling more than 270,000 vehicles over concerns about rollaway risks. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects certain F-150 Lightning BEV pickup trucks, Mustang Mach-E cars, and Maverick pickups.

The recall was issued due to a problem with the parking function that could cause vehicles to roll away, increasing the risk of a crash. Ford will notify affected owners by letter in February. The company says the necessary software update can be completed remotely or by visiting a dealership.
