CAVE-IN-ROCK FERRY REOPENS AFTER TEMPORARY CLOSURE DUE TO HIGH WINDS

The Cave-In-Rock Ferry resumed operations at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 19, after a temporary closure caused by high winds.

The ferry provides a vital connection between KY 91 and IL Route 1, crossing the Ohio River between Crittenden County, Kentucky, and Hardin County, Illinois.

Regular operating hours for the ferry are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The last run departs the Illinois side at 9:40 p.m. and the Kentucky side at 9:50 p.m.
